The ASP-IO21 is a downstream IO device capable of general purpose IO as well as single-door monitoring and control. The IO21 communicates to the controller with a fully encrypted and enhanced OSDP protocol. Interfaces include one RS485 serial port, two supervised alarm inputs, and one relay output. A combination of software and hardware filtering suppresses noise and eliminates false alarms. All interfaces have accompanying status LEDs and it operates on 12VDC.
The IO21 can be paired with OSDP readers operating under expanded-reader licenses to control more doors than a controller can natively support. The custom-labeled enclosure allows for installation at the door. The IO21 can be wired on the same RS485 bus and power line as the OSDP readers, reducing installation time and costs.
